Festival Season is fast approaching in Ireland. This summer will see over 300 Music Festivals in Ireland alone. I love summer, but summer and festivals together make me a very happy girl. Over the years I’ve been to some amazing events and seen loads of amazing bands. Memories that will stay with me for a life time. Music is my companion and it can take you down ever walk of life. This summer Ireland will host every type of Festival everything from Big, small, old, young, crazy and relaxing.
Here are some of my personal favourites and don’t forget to search our catalogue to find some new music that maybe you haven’t heard before.
Slane May 30th 2015
with supporting acts KAISERCHIEFS, HOZIER, Ash and The Strypes
I’ve been to Slane and although seeing and hearing bands is amazing the bus to and from Dublin is a pain. All that aside Foo Fighters are 100% amazing live and everyone should hear them if they can. I cannot stress how amazing they where in Marley Park a few years ago.
Reserve their albums here.

Some Amazing Bands playing this year, Pretty sad I wont be going! Will you?
Friday 31st July 2015 | Sunday 2nd August 2015
Castlepalooza has time and again proved itself to be one of the country’s absolute best smaller-sized festivals.
Taking place this year on the 31st July to 2nd August, Castlepalooza will once again be housed on the grounds of Charleville Castle in Tullamore, Co Offaly.
The year’s line-up includes Of Montreal, Hercules & Love Affair, Jape, Alex Metric, and Fight Like Apes.
Over the years, Castlepalooza has provided a wonderful platform for emerging Irish bands to get big-time exposure alongside some more established acts – and this year looks like being no different.
Electric Picnic 2015
Friday 4th September 2015 | Sunday 6th September 2015
Electric Picnic 2004 was the year it all started. It started as one day event for 10,000 people on a gloriously sunny September Saturday . It was billed as a Boutique music festival and with such a diverse line up of not just music it promptly sold out. It was a first for Ireland and destined to keep going for a very long time. The following year it became a weekend camping event.
Last year (2014) saw an attendance of 41,000 people, making it the biggest and most successful year for EP to date.
I’ve got a big year this year so I will only be attending one festival and this will be it. I’m soo excited to see Florence and the Machine and so many other bands.
Which festival will you be attending, out of the 300 in Ireland this year?
